Description

The Mountain Invasion Research Network (MIREN) is convening a workshop of the steering Committee and regional co-coordinators preceding the next International Mountain Conference (IMC2025), in Innsbruck, 11–13th September 2025. The theme of the meeting is celebrating 20 years of MIREN and will focus on reflection and future planning. The aim of MIREN is to understand the effects of global change on species’ distributions and biodiversity in mountainous areas. MIREN research is built on a core of global long-term monitoring of vascular plant species along elevation gradients, established in 2005 and continuing to expand to new mountain regions around the world.
