The Student4Student Summerschool (#S4SSS) will take place from September 7 – 12 2025 in Obergurgl, Austria (University Center Obergurgl). The summer school is dedicated to PhD-students working in various fields of mountainous research, like Atmosphere, (Paleo-)Climate, Glaciers, Natural Hazards or Tourism. It is offered in conjunction with and prior to the International Mountain Conference (#IMC) to provide PhD-students with extended possibilities to discuss their research in detail with fellow students (days 1-5) and experts (day 6). In contrast to classical summer schools, the focus is placed on peer-to-peer interactions to facilitate and encourage networking among the students, helping them build connections they can capitalize on in their future research careers. The summer school is excellent preparation for the subsequent conference, which the students are encouraged to attend.
