We first installed this field site in spring 2021 as one of 215 sites covered in an extensive biodiversity survey at Berchtesgaden National Park. The project aims at documenting species of multiple taxa along an elevational and a successional gradient. The site shown here is located in shrub-dominated open land. In summer 2022, we used bioacoustics and light traps to simultaneously gather data on bats and nocturnal insects.
