Since March 2021 BFW, Nordkettenbahnen and the avalanche control on Nordkette teamed up to make avalanche experiments at Nordkette in Innsbruck possible. This means avalanches are measured with radar and a newly developed inflow sensor system, the AvaNode. After the experiment, the researchers from BFW have to recover this sensor.
