Souk El Tayeb is the famous farmers’ market at the heart of Beirut, gathering more than 120 rural small scale producers every Saturday and providing them with the needed platform and logistics to sell their produce. I call this photo “Louis” after the old farmer sitting on the left-hand side who passed away shortly after this photo was taken.
