This is a permanent transect for monitoring pasture herbage production (yield and quality) of a network of other similar sites distributed within Gran Paradiso National Park (NW Italy). Periodical botanical surveys, phenophase assessment, forage sampling and analysing throughout the growing season are associated to a “phenocam” monitoring, for the continuous measurement of pasture greenness (NDVI and green chromatic coordinate values).
