About the Special Event

Publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals is a must for researchers, as this is the prime means of communicating exciting new results to the scientific community. However, going successfully through the peer-review process is often challenging. It requires not only knowledge of the basic rules of writing scientific articles, but also an understanding of the review process and criteria. Based on their extensive editorial experience with the inter- and transdisciplinary journal Mountain Research and Development, the session hosts will offer useful tips and recommendations on dos and don’ts when preparing a submission to a scientific journal and when responding to reviewers. There will also be time for questions and answers. The session is open to anyone interested in gaining insights into a journal editor’s perspective or in improving their scientific writing skills. Junior researchers are particularly welcome.
